The video doesn't make detailed claims about how BPC-157 works or what results to expect. It's more of a simple explanation of what he's injecting and why. This puts him ahead of many fitness influencers who make wild promises about peptides without any context.
Does the science actually support BPC-157 for healing?
The research on BPC-157 is extremely limited and mostly disappointing for anyone hoping for a miracle healing compound. Most studies have been done in rats and mice, not humans.
A 2020 review by Gwyer et al. in the Journal of Clinical Medicine found that while BPC-157 showed some promise in animal models for tendon and muscle healing, there are virtually no controlled human trials. The few human studies that exist are small, poorly designed, or unpublished.
One small 2019 study by Barisic et al. looked at BPC-157 for inflammatory bowel disease in 10 patients, but this doesn't tell us anything about shoulder injuries. There's no solid evidence that injecting BPC-157 will speed up shoulder healing in humans.

What should you actually know about healing peptides?
The peptide therapy market is full of hype that's way ahead of the science. Companies are selling these compounds based on promising animal studies while human evidence remains scarce.
For shoulder injuries specifically, proven treatments include physical therapy, proper rest, and in some cases, corticosteroid injections under medical supervision. A 2021 systematic review by Lewis et al. in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found strong evidence for exercise therapy in shoulder impingement.
If you're dealing with a shoulder injury, working with a physical therapist or sports medicine doctor will give you better results than experimental peptides. The boring treatments often work better than the exciting ones.
