What the BPC-157 dose evidence actually is

No FDA label and no human dose-finding trial. The 250 to 500 mcg per day figures online are extrapolated from animal studies.

Human evidence for BPC-157 is thin. A 2025 review found only three small pilot studies in people, and a registered phase 1 trial has no published results. Nearly everything written about dosing traces back to rodent studies and to forum protocols that repeat each other.

That is why this page does not pre-fill a dose. The 250 mcg and 500 mcg figures you will see elsewhere are not from a label or a human trial. If a prescriber gave you a dose, enter that. If nobody did, the calculator can still show you the arithmetic for any number, and that is all it should do.

BPC-157 units at each water volume

The table uses a 5 mg vial. Each cell is the draw on a U-100 insulin syringe for that dose at that water volume. Cells above 100 units do not fit a 1 mL syringe; cells below 10 units sit in the part of a 1 mL barrel where measurement error rises, and a 0.5 mL or 0.3 mL syringe reads them better.

Mixing BPC-157

The classic mix is 5 mg with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, which gives 2.5 mg per mL, or 25 mcg per unit. At that strength 250 mcg is 10 units and 500 mcg is 20 units, both easy to read on any insulin syringe.

Mixing 5 mg with 1 mL doubles the concentration to 5 mg per mL, so 250 mcg becomes 5 units. That is measurable on a 0.3 mL syringe with half-unit marks, but on a 1 mL syringe with 2-unit marks it sits between graduations. More water is usually the better choice for microgram doses.

Remember that 5 mg is 5,000 mcg. Entering 5 in the dose box when you meant 500 mcg is the single most common error in the calculator logs of every tool we studied.

Storing BPC-157 after mixing

Refrigerate after mixing at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. A 5 mg vial at 250 mcg per dose holds 20 doses, which at once daily runs out at day 20, inside the 28-day multiple-dose ceiling. At 250 mcg every other day it would take 40 days, so the vial would outlast the ceiling; the calculator flags this.

How much bac water for 5 mg BPC-157?

Two millilitres is the most common choice. It gives 2.5 mg per mL, so every unit on the syringe holds 25 mcg and a 250 mcg dose is 10 units. One millilitre works too, but microgram doses then land on very small draws.

How many units is 250 mcg of BPC-157?

Ten units if you mixed 5 mg with 2 mL. Five units if you mixed 5 mg with 1 mL. Twenty units if you mixed 5 mg with 4 mL. The units follow the water, the dose does not.

Is there an FDA-approved BPC-157 dose?

No. BPC-157 is not an approved drug and no human dose-finding trial has been published. The calculator shows the arithmetic for whatever dose you enter and does not suggest one.

Can I use the BPC-157 and TB-500 blend vial with this calculator?
